WW2 - War Week 3 Days (+1 Day of Peace)
Tour from the UK

A rare opportunity to join Normandy Safaris for a mid-Week break (3 Nights/4 Full Days) to include part of the D-Day Beaches and view the Battlefield of the Final Battle of Normandy the Battle of the Falaise/Chambois Gap & the 'Polish Battlefield.' where 10,000 German soldiers perished in four days. A killing field that can only be compared with Stalingrad.

Spend the week with Normandy Safaris. You will stay in 3*** star country accommodation only a couple of miles from Hill 262 - "Maczuga" - the Polish Battlefield. We shall visit the site and its associated museum, and will follow the narrow tract of land that the Germans afforded the terrible name 'the Corridor of Death'.

"One could walk for hundreds of yards, stepping on nothing but decomposing human remains. In an oppressive silence, in a luxuriant countryside where all life had brutally ceased."
(D.W.Eisenhower, 1944)
